Other Info
American Nomad and the T Sisters have a lot in common. We like each other, we like to share shows, we share a producer in Laurie Lewis, and we both share the fact that our brand new albums are done, done, done! It's time to celebrate over a year of hard work making our records.

This unofficial CD release celebration will be held outdoors behind Sam's Log Cabin in Albany, CA. Sam's is not typically a live music venue, but they are going to host us for this special event because they are cool like that! The back of Sam's is large grassy area with an old time wagon. This will be a unique opportunity to experience our music, rest assured! The capacity of the space is going to be capped around 150 so we definitely recommend people buy tickets in advance. We are expecting this event to sell out. By the way, Sam's was picked as the best brunch spot in the East Bay by the East Bay Express for their hearty, organic, locally grown food and great atmosphere. Go there for breakfast sometime won't ya!

About the bands:

American Nomad is an award winning acoustic group firmly rooted in the flourishing Bay Area Americana scene. Drawing on influences ranging from bluegrass, folk, swing, blues, and soul, their music creates a classic sound that is brand new, while still embracing the Americana genre. Country Mile is the band's debut full-length release, produced by Grammy award winning bluegrass and folk musician Laurie Lewis on her Spruce and Maple Music label.

The T Sisters are a genuine sister group based out of Oakland, CA. The group's subtle throwback aesthetic calls to mind classic trios past, from the Andrews Sisters and 1960s girl-groups to the sirens from the film O Brother, Where Art Thou? Anchored by influences spanning folk, country, gospel, klezmer and early-90's R&B, each sister brings a unique vocal and lyrical style to a sound that is at once modern and timeless.

About Sams:

The City of Albany was founded in 1912. Our little log cabin has been here since 1930, a Sears Roebuck catalog home. Built from a kit, it overlooked the Bay back then.

In it's checkered past, it has been a speakeasy, a roadhouse and an off-track betting joint with a direct line to the track at Golden Gate Fields.

But by the 90s, times had changed and the Cabin's then new management cleaned up it's act. Sam's became best known as a great spot for brunch with a warm, friendly, locals feeling and vintage charm. The previous "Sam" decided it was time to retire and pursue other ventures in early 2011, when the new management got on board.

Over time, we've been making incremental changes, all for the better we think, and hope
you agree.
